Distortion FX

Distortion effect can be used to produce distorted sounds, such as for imitating robotic voices or to simulate distorted radiotelephone traffic (e.g., the radio chatter between starfighter pilots in the science fiction film Star Wars).
Explanation of parameters:
- Gain
Amount of signal change after distortion. The default value is -18 dB. - Edge
Percentage of distortion intensity. The default value is 15 percent. - PostEQ Center Freq
Center frequency of harmonic content addition. The default value is 2400 Hz. - PostEQ Bandwidth
Width of frequency band that determines range of harmonic content addition. The default value is 2400 Hz. - PreLowpass Cutoff
Filter cutoff for high-frequency harmonics attenuation. The default value is 8000 Hz.
